- (1) These terms of use apply to the use of the website algocrowd.net, which is operated by Lektiko Gmbh. By using algocrowd.net you agree to be bound by these terms of use.
- (2) Algocrowd is a research platform. Users can upload modules for trading algorithms in the programming language MQL4 and the Algocrowd algorithm uses these modules to create and test trading algorithms. This enables users to focus on the creative part of inventing trading algorithms. Our system takes care of the tedious process of creating combinations of modules, testing them and sorting them by quality. Users can download the found trading algorithms, the test data and the modules uploaded by themselves and by other users. Users may only use the downloaded code and data for private purposes. Downloaded code and data must not be sold or used for any other commercial purpose.
- (3) Users must not upload MQL4 code for which they lack copyright. By uploading MQL4 code users agree that it will be shared with other Algocrowd users. Users may use AI ("artificial intelligence") systems to create MQL4 code and upload it to algocrowd.net, if the AI system grants them full copyright for the generated code. Lektiko GmbH does not assume liability for any copyright infringements caused by users of algocrowd.net.
- (4) Algocrowd is not a trading or investing platform. Our website does contain blog posts about topics related to trading or investing, but these are for educational purposes only. They must not be misunderstood as trading advice. Lektiko GmbH does not assume liability for any losses users might incur by misinterpreting content from algocrowd.net as trading or investing advice.
- (5) The implemented trading algorithms, i.e. the MQL4 files that can be downloaded from algocrowd.net are intended to facilitate the users' own trading-algorithm research. Users who want to use downloaded code for trading, as-is or modified, should first test the code extensively with historical data from their broker and with virtual-money test accounts. Users are aware of the fact that, due to various types of differences, such as technical differences and differences in fees, one and the same trading algorithm might be profitable with one broker and not profitable with another broker. Users are aware of the fact that past results and backtesting results of trading algorithms are, in general, not indicative of future performance. Users are aware of the fact that no amount of data from the past and no amount of testing is sufficient to predict the future accurately. Lektiko GmbH does not assume liability for any losses users might incur by using code downloaded from algocrowd.net.
- (6) In order to be able to use algocrowd.net, users must create an account. Since algocrowd.net is still very new, the account is free of charge and there are no advertisements. As of now, Lektiko GmbH does not need any personal data from the user. Users only need to provide a username, a password and an email address. This may, however, change in the future. In the future, algocrowd.net may either have advertisements or fees, or both. And then we might have to collect personal data from our users in order to comply with EU and/or German regulations.
- (7) The content of algocrowd.net has been created with care. However, we cannot guarantee that our content is always correct, complete and up-to-date or that functions of algocrowd.net always generate correct and useful MQL4 code. Lektiko GmbH does not assume liability for negative consequences of user decisions based on incorrect, incomplete or out-of-date information from algocrowd.net. Lektiko GmbH does not assume liability for negative consequences of malfunctioning code downloaded from algocrowd.net.
- (8) If a user uploads malicious content to algocrowd.net, such as malicious code or remarks that are legally problematic or that might upset other users, the malicious content and the user's account will be deleted.
- (9) For algocrowd.net to be usable the user's browser must support the technologies used by algocrowd.net, such as Javascript, and they must also be permitted by the user.
- (10) We reserve all intellectual property rights for algocrowd.net. This applies to the the ideas, the software, the layout and the content of our website, to the extent permitted by law.
- (11) Of course, any kind or reporting on algocrowd.net is permitted, even if data from algocrowd.net is used to a large extent.
- (12) We reserve the right to terminate or restrict the services provided by algocrowd.net completely or partly at any time. We do not guarantee that algocrowd.net is is completely available at all times. Algocrowd.net is hosted with carefully selected partners on servers in the EU, but technical problems over which Lektiko GmbH has no control, such as hardware problems or power outages, can occur.
- (13) We do not assume any liability for linked sites. This also applies to the link texts, link images and linked pages of our advertisements, which might be integrated into our pages in an automated way by partners of Lektiko GmbH. However, Lektiko GmbH will take action if it learns of infringements by linked sites of business partners.
- (14) With respect to how we deal with your data, refer to our data privacy statement.
- (15) German law applies to these terms of use as well as to the relationship between Lektiko GmbH and the user of algocrowd.net. The place of jurisdiction is Munich.
- (16) We reserve the right to change these terms of use at any time with effect for the future.
- (17) Should one or more provisions of these terms of use be or become invalid, the remaining provisions will not be affected.
